You need to change the outgoing server settings
to change the outgoing (SMTP) server in Thunderbird, open Account Settings (via Tools > Account Settings or right-click your account), click Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom of the left pane, select the server, and click Edit to modify settings like server name, port, and authentication
change the server name from relay.plus.net to mail.plusnet.enmail.co
When you try to send, you will likely get a 'failed to send, certificate mismatch' , click Ok and then accept the security exception. You will then need to enter your password and should now be able to send mail

Hello @MisterW .
Early indications ( two sent emails) are that your solution has got my email sending problem working. I will try to get a few more tests just in case, then if all is well I will come back here to click on "your solution fixed my problem" for you
Best regards

Hello @MisterW . The good news is I am able to send emails, and I get replies from the recipients, BUT I have to use my password to send some of them. I think, but I'm only guessing, it may be that each time I go into Thunderbird, the first email requires the password, but subsequent emails don't, but then I close Thunderbird and the password stops working so when I go back into Thunderbird, the first message I send requires the password again. I have never had the "failed to send, certificate mismatch" response.
Is that what you would expect?
Regards

@penneck next time you enter the password , check the 'Use password manager to store password' box and you will then not have to enter it again.

@MisterW . That did the trick. The combination of your earlier post 2 days ago, and this, and I am able to send emails again.
Thankyou.
As it also included the bit about password manager, I will click the "This Fixed My Problem" button on the earlier post.
