My broadband was activated on the 12th march 2013, I checked my broadband usage at 7.00pm, was shocked to see It showed usage of over 5GB,(signed up for broadband essentials plus phone ,after advice online). Rang customer services same evening, he said "nothing he could do , ring customer options during office hours".
Rang customer options and was told to change to unlimited broadband which I agreed to, then to be told I would lose my discounted 12 month price and have to pay the full price, also would have to wait for a month for the change to take place as I was a existing customer(WHAT AFTER APPROX 18 HOURS---------Get REAL)then to put the Icing on the cake told I could have it at the discount price for 12 month I would have to enter into a 24 month contract!!!!
Totally dissatisfied. Could have gone unlimited withh ee for £2.99 amonth for 12 month contract.
Checking how much cancellation will cost me (my phone has not been ported over yet).

Hi smiler1,
Welcome to Plusnet and our community forums.
Sorry to see that you've been put in a bit of a predicament, we can only change products on a billing date and this would normally remove any currently applied discounts.
I've created a ticket on your account which you can view here and enter your Plusnet details.
I hope this helps and if there's anything else please let me know.
Chris

@smiler1, you've discovered the real strong point of Plusnet: these forums!
'Welcome aboard' from a fellow customer, and you now know where to come for the best support (though the telephone support can be quicker out of hours /weekend).
Honestly, I've been with Plusnet for a few years now and I wouldn't change to another ISP unless Plusnet went down hill dramatically.
