It took a while, nearly 18mnths. But perseverance paid off in the end. I have now got a stable broadband connection.
It took about 8 fault reports but eventually after changing many pairs fixing high resistant joints I have had a stable line for 20 days.
Plusnet customer service IMOH has been very good. Thanks.
