Problem with results obtained from a GEA test - Internal PN fault needs looking into.

Can one of the PN reps please log this as a fault on your systems that needs fixing.

I've noticed for a couple of years now that the DLM profile results from a GEA test hardly ever seem to tie up with reality.   This is not a one off nor is it a recent change whereby perhaps your system hasn't had chance to catch up yet.

If you have a fault logged, it doesn't help when your staff aren't seeing the true picture.

For example this is from a GEA test run on my line this morning

0.128M-80M Downstream. Error Protection Off - 0.128M-20M Upstream.  Error Protection Off.

Yet my stats show a very different picture proving that DLM has applied INP 3  FECs are racking up and Interleaving was applied to my line several days ago.

I happen to note that there is a timestamp there of 2017-03-16.   Why is it so out of date?

PS Whilst at it, can someone please also fix the closing tag when the user has uploaded an image file.    It makes the whole of the rest of the ticket one massive hyperlink so I cant copy and paste any of the text.

Re: Problem with results obtained from a GEA test - Internal PN fault needs looking into.

The GEA test results come from BT wholesale when we run a test, unfortunately BTWholesale/ECO Plus are not maintained by plusnet, however I'm asking a few questions to try and get more information on why the time stamp on the fibre tests generally seem to be behind.

In regards to the ticket becoming one massive hyperlink after uploading an image, I'm flagging this up with the relevant people to try and get that resolved. Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

I've asked around a few people and we believe it may just the time stamp for 14 days RRT I think having looked into it further.  If we had access to Openreach Yukon data we could confirm, but only Wholesale can view that being the CP for FTTC.
