Plusnet Price Change History/Mystery

When I joined Plusnet I opted for their 'Value Broadband' package and with one exception have managed to keep within the 10GB per month limit.  However they have been edging up the price of this package so it now costs me £14.49 per month before my referral dicount (my exchange is still  waiting to be reclassified away from Market 1).  I was a flabbergasted to discover that I could now pay £12.49 per month for  Unlimited (contracted without phone) on a 12 month contract.  I keep an eye on price changes but obviously not closely enough and I'm wondering when Unlimited became cheaper than Value?

That the market 3 unlimited price you are quoting
You won't get that in the mk1 area
I think the mk1 unlimited price is something like £19.99

Re: Plusnet Price Change History

It's the price the system is telling me when I go to the Member Centre and click on Product Change.  Should I switch quick before it wakes up and realises the mistake?  Or is it normal to be quoted the wrong price if you're on a Market 1 exchange?

Re: Plusnet Price Change History/Mystery

Could it be that because:

  • My billing month ends on 8th July

  • The new classifications are scheduled to take effect on 1st July

  • If this happens as scheduled I will be on a Market B exchange

the Plusnet system is programmed to take account of all this and is offering me the Market B price?

Re: Plusnet Price Change History/Mystery

At the moment our pricing is still going to show markets 1, 2 and 3 as opposed to A/B. We've taken into account the changes as part of this, so any that are due to be lower cost will still be lower cost but will show as 2/3.
