OTHER broadband use

Suddenly this month my broadband usage has shot up because of strange OTHERS in my broadband breakdown. I had an email chat with plusnet but they couldnt help me. Has this happened to you and were you abble to stop it

Looking at my usage breakdown I can see 7.47Gb against " other" but on unlimited it's not really a problem.
Surely it just means usage that doesn't fall into other categories on list

Some applications not using the standard port may not be identified correctly by our system, as we use DPI to identify applications on the network. These applications may be classified as 'other' traffic in which case a lower priority may apply.
So it's some application that the traffic management can't identify or the standard port for an application is not in use.
In 99.999% of cases this is not an issue.
Can you check and validate all devices on your network. Change your wireless network password if you suspect someone is accessing your network without permission.
