New fibre customer - I am impressed

Ordered about 10 days ago, router arrived promptly, Openreach put the fibre in today (should have been Friday but no matter), my old router (Netgear D6220) did not connect so I plugged in the new one and very quickly it was fully connected. I had not realised that it was preprogrammed to collect my login details (there is no mention of this in the setup booklet, though there is in the online help). Line speed on the router shown as 40mbs down and 8mbs up, better than I had been promised.

 

So far so good. Looking forward to an all round faster internet experience.

I'm glad to hear of your overall positive experience now you're online and that the speed is better than expected, so thanks for letting us know.

 

If you've not been connected long the speed will fluctuate over the first few days as the optimum speed is found, this is normal. If you have any issues I'd always suggest trying out some troubleshooting first before getting in touch here or via our Live Chat at the bottom of our web page.
