Re: Migration Query

HLE are currently chasing OpenReach to have a lift and shift arranged as soon as possible.
I have already been onto BT this morning.

Re: Migration Query

I can't see Plusnet ever giving people free dongles when adsl fails.
They do give a free dial-up connection and I made use of this last summer when there was an adsl problem with my line. Not ideal but I was able to do basics like email, internet banking, forums etc.
Most of us who've had broadband for a great many years found having a dial-up facility useful to check on outages etc.

Re: Migration Query

Angry
I thought provision of the free dialup details was automatic when a lost connection fault was reported - it certainly used to be.

Re: Migration Query

Yes, its already in place as its added whenever a fault is raised via the fault checker. I'm asking if dogwhisperer would like the details for this.

Re: Migration Query

Hi,
Your pair has been proven to be faulty (which we knew) and a task has been raised with OR to have the line rejumpered.
HLE have escalated within OR to have this done aSAP and we're hopeful it will be completed today but I'll confirm once I have further news.

I hate say I told you so........but I will anyway.......
So I have had no internet since the 18th of May as a result of the jumpering issue, this clearly could have been sorted in a day or two with someone with half a brain cell.......
What are plusnet going to offer me on top of what they have already for this latest outrageous and clearly avoidable situation?..... I  wont accept you saying you will look at this when the situation is resolved I want in place NOW further compensation that meets my satisfaction....
Furthermore I got this mentioned in a ticket today below.......
"I can understand fully that you may be interpreting what ever we say in a negative light at the moment but if we did not care we would not be working towards a solution for you.
Many unforeseen obstacles and problems have cropped up along the way here and as mentioned we are doing what we can to push through a lift and shift within the next few days. We do not stock wireless dongles and getting one to you in the post would take several days to reach you in the post by which time you will most likely have been reconnected".
I just replied this..........so maybe you want to look at that as well.......
"You could easily purchase a wireless dongle online and have it delivered direct to me tomorrow morning.....do you think I am stupid?
Going on past history I will still have probs in a few days, so get the dongle sent to me now.....the mobile signal here is not great so I would also require an antenna that fixes on the dongle.....they cost about £10"

Not much use as have no modem in my desktop computer, I have a laptop that has a modem but I dont have a cable.
A wireless dongle would be a far better solution if you really want to help as you claim you do.......

Re: Migration Query

To re-iterate we aren't doing this.
To recap what has been offered here is that we are not charging for the service until it has been resolved, once it has you will not be paying for the following 3 months.
If you require a wireless dongle you would need to source this yourself, what we have offered here more than covers the cost of one. I'm afraid we do not provide dongles to any customers.

Re: Migration Query

Adam,
You have got it wrong again!!
The current deal is free broadband until its fixed and then 4 months free on top of that.............please confirm this is correct as I have written proof from you, if you disagree there will be serious problems.......
Again I have to correct plusnet, they cant even keep to what they have agreed to yet again..!!!
Clearly as you have given me compensation for past problems its obvious you need to give me more for ongoing problems after that.......
I would have a re-think if I was you.......
I have given you a solution with the dongle and you have chosen no to take it, yet you claim you want to do everything you can to help, clearly this is all hype and you have no real interest in helping.....

Re: Migration Query

3 months has been agreed to previously, but we will stretch this to 4.
I understand you are angry and may not like what we are saying, but I am standing by what we have offered.

Re: Migration Query

No you already made it 4 months, all you have to do is read back in the ticket when you told me for gods sake....
So dont try and make out that you have now stretched this to 4 months........
I would have settled for 5 months, but as you have made this as difficult as possible and won't even admit your 'error' I now want 6 months........
If you want to continue playing games with me thats fine as its giving more evidence with the bodies I am and will complain to if you continue with this line of tactic.....

Re: Migration Query

To James,
I am off home now, so ring me at home with any updates about the lift and shift happening today and have a look at Adams posts here as I want to discuss what he has said in that with you as well by phone as I am extremely furious at the attitude and back tracking on a previous agreement........
I want in writing by post any future agreements with plusnet as I can't trust anything you tell me.......

Re: Migration Query

Hi James,
Thanks for your phone call, I am now back online as you know so seems the lift and shift worked.....thanks for sorting that.......
As we discussed my upload needs to be uncapped......last time this took 2-3 weeks.......
My sync speed is a poor 2000 ish but hopefully after Sundays scheduled work this should improve as I have a nice healthy 13db snr margin to play with for a much higher sync speed.....
My profile is 1750, I know Adam had a hard time getting me off a banded profile before and this should be checked out again, but is probably only worth looking into on Monday after the work is completed on Sunday.....
Considering the previous history of the last  two months I dread to think what will happen on Sunday as any BT involvement makes me extremely nervous......with that in mind I still think its a good idea about the contingency plan I mentioned to keep me online.....
You past on a message to me from Adam saying that he simply made a mistake about the compensation already agreed, I accept that and hope we can have a better relationship as it once was.....
