Re: Line not connected with no end in sight

Was it a BT Openreach engineer or someone else (Kelly)?

Re: Line not connected with no end in sight

Hi fuzzmo,
I'm sorry to hear the engineer didn't complete the work at the correct socket! Sad
I'll take a look into this now and we'll have to arrange for another engineer to attend to move this for you.

Thank you Linn!!!  I've replied to the text - but weekdays during the morning '8-1' is fine.

I'm not sure to be honest - I'll check with the wife.  Most likely though as the proper BT engineers I've dealt with in the past have always been strict about this point...

Re: Line not connected with no end in sight

The engineer's been booked for you for tomorrow 03/04/2014 between 8AM and 1PM.
Hopefully this engineer can rectify the situation and you should see a speed increase Smiley Let us know how it goes!

Linn - you have been absolutely brilliant since you took over this issue.  Thank you!  I will update you tomorrow (hopefully if the engineer turns up!).

Re: Line not connected with no end in sight

Not a problem at all, fuzzmo. Glad I could help Smiley
Pop an update on here tomorrow and let us know how it goes. I'm not back in the office until next Tuesday but I'll let Chris Pettitt know to keep an eye out for an update from you regarding the engineers visit and he'll be able to help if anything more needs to be done, although I'm hoping the engineer will fix it all tomorrow!
Fingers crossed!

Re: Line not connected with no end in sight

Hi Linn,
BT Engineer did come and did re-route things so it is now a proper Master Socket.  Speed is still at 49 Mbps.  He checked everything in the property.  Not sure what else there is to do - that may well be what I have to settle for - although your colleague on Tuesday night said that there was also a fault on the line which may be affecting it.  Is it possible you can double check that please?

Re: Line not connected with no end in sight

Hi fuzzmo,
Here's your line stats:

Downstream Speed:
56.2 Mbps
Upstream Speed: 16.8 Mbps
I've updated your Speed Profile to 56Mb now and it looks like that's the maximum your line is going to sit at. We can keep an eye on it and see see how things get on though.
I've tested your line and it's not indicating any type of fault, everything is looking clear now Smiley

OK.  I'll keep an eye on it over the coming weeks.  Thanks for your help, and especially thanks to Linn K - she's proved an absolute star in getting this over the line!
