Gaining Provider Led Notification of Transfer (Migration without a MAC)

It's now just over two weeks to go before MACs become a thing of the past and NoT is formally introduced as the method of migrating between providers.  Given that BT have been experimenting with this for some time and there have been resultant broadband cease fees charged in error, and that the aging account/provisioning system (due to be replaced 'really soon' - for the last 18 months) continues to throw up all sorts of issues, I wonder how far advanced Plusnet are with preparing for this?
An interesting blog article from Adrian Kennard highlights some of the issues to overcome.
Any comment from PN please?

We're well on in the process of this and training has been rolled across the teams this impacts. Not really much else to add.

Interesting blog from Adrian, especially this
Quote
The problem is the processes OFCOM have insisted regarding notices to customers, including the need to provide details of "early termination charges".
PN could have problems with that if they use the same information that's shown on accounts, any resemblence to the real value is purely coincidental Roll_eyes

Re: Gaining Provider Led Notification of Transfer (Migration without a MAC)

Excellent point MisterW. I think OFCOM would take a dim view even now about the sky-high "miscalculated" termination charges Plusnet place in prominent view on people's accounts.
Anything which may impede a customer from switching providers is clearly being clamped down on. If honest retention attempts are to be a no-go, Plusnet's false financial pressure/threats must be considered far worse.
Plusnet have known full well about the problem for a long time, but choose neither to fix it nor remove it from the system, and don't even deal properly with fixing individual requests for correction. This is damning, as the true fees could just be calculated on request by a rep in less than half a minute instead of knowingly leaving false misinformation up.
