First class

During a stormy spell this morning a tree branch broke off and brought down my phone line (and of course broadband).
Using a mobile phone I called PN at around ten past eleven and the Openreach van turned into my drive at twenty past twelve.
By about one fifteen the system was up and running again.
As the culprit was my tree I don't know if I shall be charged, but I certainly could not fault the service from PN or Openreach.

Re: First class

Hi Roberto0151,
This type of fault is raised with our suppliers as a 'damage report' the nature of these reports means that the cost  to repair accidental damage, vandalism or 'force majeure' is covered in the vast majority of cases by BT.
I have to say I'm very impressed by the turnaround on this.

Re: First class

Now why can't BT give service like that ALL the time!!

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: First class

It's worth bearing in mind especially with some severe weather on the way that some cases like this can and probably will take longer to resolve as sometimes tree surgeons and other contractors are needed. Once matters like this are reported the initial response from our suppliers normally comes very quickly.
