Off the wall question - are you blocking cookies, pop-ups, java scripts etc?

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Feeling undervalued and a little used!

When you say you cannot change your password, are you trying to change it here https://portal.plus.net/my.html?s=0&action=change_password ; ?
If you go here https://portal.plus.net/my.html?s=0&action=autologin is autologin on or off?

Re: Feeling undervalued and a little used!

I've taken a look and fixed the problem.
We'll be in contact with you tomorrow do ensure that you have full access to your Member Centre and Webmail.
In the meantime, until we contact you, you won't be able to access the Member Centre - We'll pick this up first thing though.

Re: Feeling undervalued and a little used!

Since you don't say what the problem was Chris P, it's tempting to assume it was user error after all.

Re: Feeling undervalued and a little used!

I'm wondering if somehow it had got in to a state where there was no password set on the account. Why else would Chris change something that means the OP can't access the member centre?

Re: Feeling undervalued and a little used!

Morning folks,
After speaking to Chris it seems that we had a problem with passwords being stuck within a component which meant that the passwords weren't synchronised so definitely not user error.
Should all be fixed now courtesy of Chris!

Re: Feeling undervalued and a little used!

Hi Adam C
Have not been around this morning.
What number should I call and is there a reference number that I need to get direct to someone familiar with the issue?

Hi ChrisJMW,
I'm not sure you'll need to call us to confirm the password, this should be synchronised with your account password now so you can try logging in with that.
Please let me know if you have any issues with it Wink

Re: Feeling undervalued and a little used!

Hi Adam C
OK. I can now access both member centre and plusnet email. It was interesting to find out the password that was in use. This was an older password and it now makes sense that I could never pass a customer check with characters from it. Clearly an issue occurred when the password was updated and it has carried on ever since.
I would like to offer a big thanks for persisting with me until you could get to grips with where the problem lay. I can understand how it would have appeared to be a user error rather than a database sync error (or some such).
So, after a number of days, I still have the original gripe but, on the plus side, we have resolved a long standing problem.
The email I am looking for is not in the mailbox but, you have archived most of the mail because I have not accessed it for so long (because I couldn't, see earlier part of thread).
Is there a way forward that will allow everyone to eat a little humble pie and get the right tariff back on the account, with call saver and credit back the extra cost incurred, in between? I think I deserve it if only for persisting to get this issue fixed!
Regards
Chris

Re: Feeling undervalued and a little used!

Hi Chris,
Glad to hear you're now in!  Cheesy
I hadn't reviewed the mailbox contents so this does sound odd, looking back across your account I can't see any service notice or updated contact that would relate back to any form of mailbox purge, clean up or archive activity after the renewal service notice and email was sent. Even though this is the case I will make sure I double check this to ensure that there wasn't anything done in the background that wasn't recorded  Wink
I can appreciate the resolution you're looking to reach regarding this matter so if you're happy to have the credits back for line rental in order to make them equate to the line rental saver price then I would be happy to action that for you today.
In addition to this, you can add the new line rental saver package to your account here for the next 12 months.
Let me know if this how you wish to proceed and I'll get the refunds processed for you.

Hi Adam C
Link visited and Line Saver Package paid for.
I am happy to take you up on the offer of the credits.
Again. Thanks for taking the time to read into the thread and work toward an amicable resolution.
Happy customer.
