False Adverts

Well this is a classic
I did a bit of googling and simply put in "cheap fibre broadband" and came up with this on google

It clearly shows a paid for Plus Net advert, 2nd from the top showing that you can get a 12 month contract for fibre.  When you click on it  it takes you to a sign up page as normal but when you look at the legal bits only then does it tell you that it is really an 18 month contract.  I rang Plus Net to try and get the deal for a friend who wishes to sign up to be told it wasn't available so I rang up a few more times pretending to be a new customer trying to get this deal but none of the sales agents seemed to care when I raised the issue as potentially false advertising. I Even rang up as me and told them that it was a concern and nothing!!!
Come on Plus Net, it may be a mistake, but take notice, things like this can damage your reputation or don't you care.

Re: False Adverts

Hi BRABUS,
I've just tried to replicate this but I'm not seeing the same results, and I'm unable to see the same set of results. I've tried this in incognito mode on Google Chrome.
I've let the Marketing Team aware of this thread to take a look over.

Re: False Adverts

That's why I put the screen shot up.  I did it on my iPad a lap top on IE9 and also one on IE10 so it's not a one off, just trying to be helpful as no one else was listening to me at Plus Net Sad

Re: False Adverts

I've not been able to replicate it on any of the browsers I have on my laptop.
Not saying it didn't happen but it certainly isn't pushing it my way from Google.

Re: False Adverts

I have just been on to try it again and low and behold it has now gone.  It seems that when Chris gets involved that things happen ( as usual).  That's why I came onto the forum to try and get it sorted.
