Everything's falling apart round here

I didn't want to upgrade partway through a month and end up paying extra, so I waited until my bill date was just passed and upgraded.
On the last page it then tells me that the product upgrade will happen on the next bill date.
Raise ticket, request it to just happen as soon as possible.

Unfortunately we are unable to bring this date foreward as this would cause problems within the account

Seriously? This will only work at the exact moment a billing date rolls over?!
Never before has a company wanted to wait a month before they took my money!

On a separate note, I tried posting (after trying to preview which didn't work, just gave me a preview box with 'Previewing...' in it), it asked me to reenter my login details, then gave me the edit screen for a new thread completely cleared out with this message:

Hi there,
I've done the account change for you now. Smiley
Regarding the posting issues, is that still happening (I saw some strangeness on Friday but no-one else could replicate it so I assumed it was a local issue)?

Thanks for that, the staff on this forum do seem much more capable than the ones I encounter on the helpdesk.
Not sure about the posting situation now, here goes nothing...

Re: Everything's falling apart round here

Moving account types on a day other than the billing date can cause billing issues on some account types (which is why we have a policy of changing products only on the billing date). However in your case it was fine to do this.

Would changing product unset a data transfer usage limit?!

Re: Everything's falling apart round here

Yes, it does do though it can also change your billing date and thus offset things that way as well unfortunately.
