Dreadful slow speed

Recently my speeds have been all over the place. Today they are absolutely dreadful as you can see below. I used to get 6 MBs but recently the best I got is like 4Mb, but now its like 0.8. What's going the on?
To best honest I am really getting fed up with not knowing from 1 day to the next the speed I wil get, and am now thinking about moving my broadband to another provider.

DawnRider - it's hardly constructive to give that suggestion until other avenues have been explored.

Re: Dreadful slow speed

@Barry, I,ve been exploring all avenues since the 6th December Last Year!  After 6 visits by 3 different BT "Engineers" to my premises, plus a REIN "Engineer"  to the loacality I am still back in the same boart where even the BT speed test will not run!  Don't you dare have a go at me for being extremely ******* off!  The man at the top should get to know and should always carry the can! Sad Sad Sad

Re: Dreadful slow speed

It is not constructive to suggest that every customer who has an issue should email the CEO.  Quite frankly, it's an idiotic idea.  The majority of issues that customers have can be resolved very simply, either by end-user configuration, or with Plusnet intervention.
Once all other avenues have been explored and have failed, an email to the CEO is a good last resort.
Please refrain from trolling other peoples threads with the same suggestion, where other more appropriate action should be taken.

Re: Dreadful slow speed

@batfink - Your line is stable and has had a 6500 profile for as long as it's been on ADSL Max. If you could run a BT speed test (at http://www.speedtester.bt.com) and post the results here we'll be able to advise further.
If that's showing the same issue, raise us a speed fault at http://faults.plus.net and we'll get investigating for you.
@steve74 - I can see a couple of disconnections yesterday though that may have been reboots from yourself - your line profile hasn't suffered as a result and is still showing as 7150. Have things returned to normal now, or are they still slow? I'm wondering if your issues were caused by Friday's problems on the network (you can see details of these at http://usertools.plus.net/status/archive

Re: Dreadful slow speed

@Matt taylor,hi,ive plugged in an old router ive had and my speeds are back to normal, when a line test was done last night the router i got from plusnet was reporting back as switched off,yes them reboots was me trying to gateway hop with plusnet router but it kept putting me back on the same one.

Re: Dreadful slow speed

Well let us know if you can't resurrect the router we sent out and we'll see what we can do for you. Glad to hear it was only a blip, though if it does start to look more serious give us a shout.

Thanks yes i will do,also when rami tried to do a test last night he told me to watch for any intermittent drops as my line reported a copper fault but that time a loop fault
