Re: Disgusting Customer Service - tickets being ignored.

@chenks76   Yes and its a No. There is another ISP I found which would far better suit my requirements.

However, that aside need to get my current ticket sorted first.

Matty assured me that he would feed back what we discussed yesterday about CS from the customers perspective to higher beings. I hope those at the top take note that when they see certain forum regs (and I don't just mean me) grumbling then something is going wrong.

I imagine the hassle around using your own router might be a bit of a blocker?

What Bob said.  They appear to have reversed their stance on giving out login details.  They did for a while but it would appear that they've changed their minds in the past couple of weeks so that for me a major.  Lack of static IP is another reason, although not quite as important I do find it very useful.

That's not the impression I got following my interaction in this forum thread a while back. That said, they may have changed their stance since then as @kitz has alluded to.

Re: Disgusting Customer Service - tickets being ignored.

i spoke to with CS and specifically asked them if i could use my own router.
the first line CS said no. i said them go check with second/third line, and they came back and said sorry yes you can use your own router.
i had the chat log emailed to me afterwards just to keep as reference.

the first line CS will give the usual stock response that their computer gives them, but if you keep the higher up in the chain then you get the real answer.

You: do you allow the use of my own router?
Amanda:

I am afraid you will not be able to use your Router as Direct Router. First you can connect our Router and then join your Router to ours to use the one which you have.

You: that goes against what your technical department says
You: they say you can use your own router
Amanda:

Please allow me a moment while I check with my manager and confirm if you can use directly your Router.

You: yes please do
Amanda:

Good news Smiley Yes, my manager said you can use it directly.

Re: Disgusting Customer Service - tickets being ignored.

i have chatted with Vodafone earlier today , regarding this query , they also told me you can use your own equipment, said to ring tech support for the details .

Re: Disgusting Customer Service - tickets being ignored.

They did for a while, but have changed their stance.  See here someone who got connected last week, despite being told they would be able to.

It appears they have now stopped giving out router usernames & passwords after senior managers got hold of the fact they were being handed out like confetti by junior support staff.

Anyways.. a bit off-topic.

Re: Disgusting Customer Service - tickets being ignored.

Yep it was their Tech Support in Glasgow that told me that you could, but that was several weeks ago now.

It would be interesting to find out if zaphron got any further.

Laughing, you obviously don't know me very well then do you 😛

I've left before.
As soon as BE* lit one of their shiny new MSANs at my exchange, I was one of the first - if not the first - on it.

Oh and you obviously don't know about the battle scars I've obtained in the past fighting for Plusnet USERS. Cheesy Cheesy
