Cannot contact Plusnet without phone

I need to talk to someone about setting up a home phone of some sort, but I can't contact anyone because I don't have a phone right now.  I've been all through 'Contact us', and there is no form or email adress.

What do I do?

@Blackmoore If you have an internet connection - is it an ADSL or FTTC one? - all you need to do is buy a phone and plug it in - the service is already there.

@Blackmoore  - It's most unlikely Plusnet will be able to help with a home phone service - they are phasing out the old copper phone service and migrating anyone who wants a phone service to EE who do provide a Digital home phone service.

Plusnet don't seem to do customer service any other way than over the phone - unless you have an existing problem and some staff member picks it up here on the forum.

If you already have an internet connection over a copper phone line there is a vague possibility that it's connected to a phone service and as @jab1 say you might be able to plug a phone in and it works ... but seems unlikely to me.

Do you currently have a broadband service..?

@Ian06 If @Blackmoore 's service is 'fibre' - not SOGEA - then simply plugging in phone should work. As the PSTN  network is due for closure, it would probably be a good idea to ensure they have SOGEA, and then transfer the phone to VOIP.

Not sure, sorry.  I just want a phone I can have on a stand and stays where I put it instead of getting lost.  I thought I left it in my mother's car and had no way to contact her about it.

They have already phased out my copper wire, sorry.  I was hoping for a phone connected to my router or using my internet?

In that case, @Blackmoore - when did they 'phase out your copper wire', and what internet service are you currently on?

These are widely available and known as VOIP phones, but definitely NOT from PlusNet, who are withdrawing from the phone market entirely and do not and will not supply such a service. So no point in contacting them

There are many suppliers mentioned here, all have pros and cons depending on your needs. Most will supply a complete "kit" if necessary. Personally I use A&A (Andrews and Arnold) as they match my requirements well but other suppliers may be better for you, depending what you want a "fixed" phone for. Tell us more (and what type of internet service you have) if you're after advice.
