Can someone from PlusNet please explain why the line rental increasing by £1 pm for people pay monthly but increased by £1.50 for those paying in advance. That's a difference of £6 year which seems very unfair.

Paying in advance attracts a discount. Obviously Plusnet have decided to reduce the discount (by £6) in addition to the overall price increase.

So if you have already paid for 12 months upfront say from July 2014 to July 2015 are plusnet going to ask you for additional money in the next few weeks when the price increase kicks in. Or will this only happen in July 2015

No. If you secure your 12 months deal before the price increase you retain it for the 12 months with no extras to pay.....as I see it.

AFAIK No they will not ask for more money on your line rental saver until renewal.

Swings and roundabouts.  You paid a fixed price in advance so Plusnet will not ask you to top-up your Line Rental Saver.  But if you want to leave before it expires, Plusnet will not offer to refund any of the cost..

Have you also noticed the price rise seems to get earlier each year so fewer can avoid the increase by paying 3 months in advance of the next due date.

I can renew mine now so avoiding the price increase
I am however holding back as I am not so sure I will want to stay if the Support does not improve.
I have been lucky and not had many problems but just reading about other peoples woes make me fear the worst.

Obviously no one from PlusNet is willing to explain why. By the way there has been an increase of £42 over the past three years whilst wholesale prices have dropped.
