Autoreply

Thunderbird has advised me to contact my ISP, ie Madasafish to see if they can set up an autoreply as I am going away next year and manage our Village Hall Bookings so want to be able to post an auto-reply re-directing hirers to a colleague.
I have had no joy so far from Madasafish who misunderstood my query

Re: Autoreply

Hiya,
I'm sorry about the level of response that you received to your query as I'd definitely have expected better.
I'm afraid that I don't believe it's possible to set up an out of office reply using the Madasafish webmail/email service.

Re: Autoreply

Can you do redirects on Madasafish?
If so redirect to a special Gmail account where you can copy the mail on to another person.

Re: Autoreply

Not as far as I can tell.
There are folder redirection options, but no option to move to a specifc email address.
Not applicable

Re: Autoreply

Have just had a root around my Gmail account and found that you can do this.
You would need to set up an account of your own (really simple) and go into Settings/General tab. . About two thirds of the page down you can turn auto reply on and specify the message.
Next you will need to set up gmail to collect your messages from the Madasafish address. This is found in Settings/Accounts under the 'Get Mail From Other Account'. You can collect from more than one account apparently.
I haven't tried this myself but it looks as if it might work for you.
There is a helpful 'Help' section in Gmail which will explain it better.
*Just tried it and it works find. However, have not had it collecting mail yet.
