A week in telecommunications is a long time

Wondered is any one from Plusnet support  available on line
to check if my losing ISP provider is preventing my attempted  switchover
online?
as i'm with an awful ISP

were you on Tiscalli/Talk Talk?, they have a nasty habit of cutting people off early and then mucking up the transfer

Re: A week in telecommunications is a long time

hi pierre_pierre.
only.. I'm with an awful ISP and from what I am experiencing from them IT isnt going to be  simple matter
Yes !!!!! but its guess work now
as my bill is still for  toucan internet    coming from pipex
their trying to force an upgrade on me which they constantly report as cancelled and I'm free to join Plusnet
but a robotic  process refuses to agree

Re: A week in telecommunications is a long time

What I need to know is my phone clear of services for a Plusnet switch over. I left it to Plusnet the gaining ISP to cancel my  existing ISP
only my account is stuck on deferred and
a week is a long time in telecommunications
deferred to whom or  what ? I cant make a guess on that one
If i call talktalk I 'm deferred  .
I may have to refer them to County Court for failing to cancel a talktalk takeover of my services
I may lose my line if i put a cease on it personally

Re: A week in telecommunications is a long time

I'm  told by talktalk i need a new telephone line and it will be installed on the 16th June
apparently I cant cancel it , yet when I phone I keep being informed everything is cancelled
talktalk now wont answer my email correspondence
contacted otelo to let the world  know I've been informed of my cancellations
If my line is stolen and taken over by talktalk I'll have a new number and telephone line
talktalk new line services yesterday they agreed the new line was cancelled 10 to 11 days ago
but I've been referred back on to their automatic order processing again
phew!
I'm personally collecting a county court  claims pack monday and it must be an immediate summons  against talktalk to  prevent via what they tell me is an  'automated process'
that will damage then remove my already good phone line and the loss of my number due to from day1  tiscali tagging my line against talktalk
phew

Re: A week in telecommunications is a long time

All in All Plusnet may have migration problems with me
and getting away from talktalk/pipex/tiscali / toucan will need the services of  a  County Court
but I'm reassured through distant selling Its illegal what talktalk is doing
preventing cancellations

Re: A week in telecommunications is a long time

That sums up the matter
Except lastly to say I've notified talktalk today of  immediate County Court Action against them

Re: A week in telecommunications is a long time

yes Thats why I guessed,  The rules are that PN tell them when to cut the line, but they seem to be a law unto themselves.
Also Watch your Money, they seem to keep taking it for months after Migration.
You are not on LLU are you? as that is what causes the supply of a new line problem

Pipex used to be the choice of Dedicated Pros, now look at it

Re: A week in telecommunications is a long time

Yes im  on full LLU . Phone and BroadBand , but I joined toucan on ASDL
I'm still paying  a toucan bill , for 1MB broadband , they secretly put me on LLU last month i think
Guessing by the fact my Broadband went of for two days
talktalk/tiscali and talktalk both cross company borders with each other with their customers old and  new
you could join up thinking your with talktalk but in fact you have joined tiscali and visa-versa
a two headed monster
I collect my toucan  bills from a pipex account  ... it still has my original  old toucan price list and listed as the  toucan deal

Re: A week in telecommunications is a long time

the buisness  operates as
(a) talktalk -  operating  independantly
(b)talktalk/tiscali  operating together as  .............. the company..............
(c) tiscali - but not sure about this , but they could /may even be in theory

Re: A week in telecommunications is a long time

i believe Plusnet rents tiscali's network
how true it is I'm not sure, but I'd be concerned if it was true

pierre_pierre
why would a new line be a problem  migrating from tiscali/pipex or legacy toucan to talktalk
there both LLU, and the same company , any idea on why  new lines are problematic there ?

Re: A week in telecommunications is a long time

i should of thought I'm already on a talktalk deal
due to secretly being put onto LLU from toucan by talktlk/tiscali/pipex , yet i'm charged as 1MB  toucan at  its older  and more expensive
price...
i'm out of contract by years..... i'm not letting talktalk put me onto a talktalk contract , hence i want all services cancelled
and if Plusnet are  not able to cancel  my line and internet  and I'm not able to cancel a new line after being told its been cancelled  i'm likely to be cut off due to court action shortly and without a phone as once they have my line
they will cut me off as I will not pay for a cancelled new line or cancelled talktalk services
