Hi there,
I've posted a graph of your connection that show's you had a bout of disconnections.
<img src="http://ccgi.psmith12.plus.com/visradius/generated/image13702506236641.png"/>
I'd suggest running through our faults checker at http://faults.plus.net as the best way to get this rectified.

Hi chris, thanks for your reply, tbh the line has been steady since about 22:30 hrs on Saturday night with only a few disconnects as the graph shows. I've started the faults checker but got as far as "Please reboot your router and computer. Does this fix the problem?" . The problem doesn't seem to be there atm lol I'm going to answer no to the questions so that tests can be done and hopefully an explanation found

PN replied to my fault ticket this morning and as expected, no fault found and the line has been steady since 22:30 hrs Saturday. It was suggested by BTw that the fault was with my equipment but I do believe something was been done in the exchange for the fault to occur at specific times as it did. Plus my equipment is still the same and yet the fault is no longer there.
Anyway I am happy with the situation as it is for the moment, I have received a text message that interleaving has been switched on and since the tests this morning my upload ip profile has been capped again........ could you please uncap my upload.
Thank you for your help in this matter
Regards,
Gerwyn

Just a few observations for you. The BTw suggestion about it being your equipment is just the sort of standard crap that they dish out when it was clear there was some sort of intermittent problem but nothing showing on their tests (that they will admit to). It could well have been down to engineers working in the exchange on some other equipment fault etc. It may even be an intermittent connection on your line somewhere.
Suggest you keep an ear open - Can you hear/have you heard any crackling or other noises on the line when using the phone? Have you had any problems with incoming or outgoing calls?
As regards the speed changes you saw previously, when you initially connected to your test socket the SNRM had changed it went down to 3dB so it's likely that the Exchange DLM had lowered it resulting in the faster speed, whereas when you had previously connected noise levels may well have been higher giving a slower speed and then reduced which was giving the larger margin of 5.3dB at the time.
So I would not conclude that there was necessarily anything wrong with the faceplate.
As a result oif all the disconnects that you have had (for whatever the reason), it looks as though the Exchnage DLM has raised the Target SNRM to 9dB which is why your speed in a bit slower again, but still better than previous to the Test socket.
So my conclusion is that something odd has certainly been going on, and I would keep a careful eye and ear on the situation.
If you are an online Gamer you will want to have Interleaving turned off, but I'd wait a few days and see how the error counts go.

I've placed a modify order to uncap your upload, this will complete tomorrow.
Your line has been suffering quite a few disconnection;

Is your phone line OK as Anotherone has pointed out in the above post?

@Anotherone thank you for the info, since I have no electrical equipment that activates between 17:00hrs and 23:00hrs I had guessed it was down to some outside influence..... something we'll probably never find out the truth of lol. And no I'm not a gamer.
As to the phone, in March I had to report a fault to BT and they came back saying they had put me on another wire pair as one of the wires was damaged. After that everything seemed fine.
My broadband was switched over to PN on the 30th April and the phone was to be switched over on the 20th May but a fault appeared on the 7th May. This was fixed on the 13th May with the engineer saying a wire had come loose (my opinion an engineer working in the cab pulled it loose, but no proof).
Since then and PN takeover on the 20th May I've had no probs with the phone line. From other forum posts I've used the 17070 number to do a quiet test and apart from the normal handset hum there is no crackling at all (done using a corded phone , cordless unplugged from phone line and power socket)
@chris thanks for uncapping the upload, as to state of phone line please see above

Gerwyn

I'm glad the observations helped. The only thing that ought to happen right now is that your Current Line Speed should be set to match the BT IP Profile so that you don't have any random data drops resulting from data being sent faster than the line can handle.
