Did you use the old power supply with the new router by any chance ?
No used the new power cable. I did use my original ethernet cables though, so maybe I should use the cable that came in the box...

That's definitely worth trying.
I just can't see how two routers could be faulty on ALL their LAN ports.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Really sorry - how embarrassing. Using the cable from the box appears to work. I did not imagine that 2 cables would be faulty.

Neither would I to be honest.
Glad we got to the bottom of the problem though.
At least you've now got a spare router😀
