Re: requeast modem

Ah, well. I have a new mobile phone. Tried to connect to my modem during the setup, put the modem key and it said no, wrong password. Got the card that comes with modems and it's the right password. I tried connecting with the modems WPS but that didn't work. The phone wont continue with the settup till it's connected to the modem. No option for using WPS with the phone. I've had problems connecting my old phone as well but it did connect after i pressed the WPS on the modem. Always intermittant connection problems though. I'm thinking maybe if i buy a new modem with it's new key that could work. It's quite an old modem I think. Technicolor TG582N. Thanks for your reply.

Re: requeast modem

OK. I doubt it is the TG582N which is at fault, although it is rather old. How long have you got on your contract? if you re-contract, you could request a new Hub, but I suspect quite honestly you are entering the wrong wireless key - it is the WIRELESS Password (not the router access p/w) and is case-sensitive - all letters are caps.

Re: requeast modem

First thing I considered was my fault. I made multiple attempts, wireless network and the router access, though i do know it's the wireless key for adding a device, I saw each letter/number going in, case sensitive. Thanks again.

Re: requeast modem

Fix

If you are not on contract, forget requesting a new Hub - it would cost you ££99.00+. You are better getting hold of a BT HomeHub 6 off that well-known auction web site and using that . Set-up/config instructions are available at the top of this board.

Re: requeast modem

Oh thanks, thought plusnet one would be all settup. I will have a look at the instructions and see if i can tackle them. Cheers.

Re: requeast modem

The PN one would be, but it is not worth £99.00.
