I normally only use Wifi but would this AV600 model be good enough to significantly boost WiFi signal to at least 500 ish in those back rooms?
Am i right in thinking I could also hardwire via Ethernet by plugging in directly to the second Wifi extender plug?
Thanks for any help and suggestions

Someone suggested the ‘TP-Link TL-PA4010P KIT AV600 Passthrough Powerline Adapter’
would this AV600 model be good enough to significantly boost WiFi signal to at least 500 ish in those back rooms?
In a word, No!
The TL-PA4010P only has 100Mb network ports so that's the maximum you will get using those. I have a pair of AV1000 ones and whilst they do have gigabit ports, they will still max out at around 150Mb when on the same electrical circuit, dropping down to as low as 25Mb when on different circuits.
You will struggle to get a powerline system anywhere near 500Mb effective speed.

Look to network cable connected Wireless Access Points if speed tests are your bag.
Power Line Adaptors are perfect for convenience with devices like printers, streaming TV or video calls where a dependable low latency connection is needed, but max speed is a some way down the priority list.
Wi-Fi Repeaters are absolutely going to halve the bandwidth, they are cheap to buy and simple to configure but tricky to place, they extend the area of signal coverage at the cost of reduced speed and increased latency & jitter & fill the air with Wi-Fi traffic.

I'm afraid I've no experience of any others. If you look at others, you need to take any 'claimed' speed with a VERY big pinch of salt.
If its at all practical, then by far the best option is to run a network cable from the main router to a wireless access point. You can get kits that include everything you need.
A Mesh system MIGHT be an option but again I've no direct experience, maybe others with experience will offer advice. To get anywhere near the 500Mb though, would probably need a "tri band" system so that one band can be dedicated to the 'backhaul'. You're not talking cheap...

@plusoumoins If you really do need the full bandwidth your FF900 provides away from the router you will almost certainly have to run an Ethernet cable.
This needn't be as obtrusive as you might expect, depending how long it needs to be to reach whatever is going on the other end. Cat6 and above is definite overkill and often thicker and less flexible. Cat5e is fine up to 100 metres which should suffice in any domestic setting. Even good old Cat5, provided it's 8-core, is fine for Gigabit speeds on shorter runs so likely to be more than adequate in a home.
For specific devices that don't need Gigabit (e.g. my TV) I use standard (thin, flexible and unobtrusive) 4-core BT phone cable running at 100mb. SWMBO still hasn't noticed it running along skirting boards etc! 😀

All makes / models of Wi-Fi Repeaters work the same way & with the same technical limitations.
You mentioned speed of 40 Mbps, this is typically a 2.4GHz signal working in the expected manner,
trading greater distance of coverage for max speed,
If that is a bedroom do you need any more speed for a Kindle or to read the online news.
The difference between 40 and 400Mbps is not perceptible when using say Netflix or BBC iPlayer.

Do you think using a ‘TP-Link DECO P9(2-PACK) AC1200+AV1000 Sistem Mesh, Wi-Fi 5, Dual-Band’ work any better?
its only Wifi 5 so wireless will max out at around 450Mb and you'll still be limited by the AV1000 powerline , probably to 150Mb

Did you ignore the bit that reads : probably to 150Mb
The limiting factor is the AV1000 Power Line back haul over totally unknown mains wiring in your home.

I would suggest looking into powerline adapters using G.hn standard as they are considered to be better than HomePlug AV2 standard devices. The technology is intended to handle interference better, which results in higher speeds
For me I get around 90 Mbps using TP-Link TL-PA4010P KIT AV600, the HomePlug connection traverses two RCD, however I might be lucky.
What is the intended use of the internet in this backroom, a stable connection is more important than the achieved speed.

How does that work? 🤔
