Video doorbell hub 2

Hello. Im looking at getting a video doorbell. How do i know if my router is on 2.4 or 5ghz?
Most of the doorbells only support 2.4. If I switch it down to 2.4 will it affect my son playing his xbox online games?

Re: Video doorbell hub 2

The Hub 2 supports both 2.4ghz & 5ghz simultaneously. Your doorbell SHOULD automatically connect at 2.4ghz if that is all it supports. Occasionally there are issues with devices that can only use 2.4ghz, the trick is to temporarily disable 5ghz on the HUb 2, connect the device and then re-enable the 5ghz.

Re: Video doorbell hub 2

log into the hub and go to the Advanced/Wireless page (you will need to enter the admin password shown on the back of the router).

Switch off the 5GHz band and save. This will force the doorbell to use the 2.4GHz band, it should now connect. Try switching the 5GHz band back on and the doorbell should still work.
