Hi,
I have the Hub 2.
I can see my laptop and my mobile phone icons that I recognize under the devices connected but I got one that I attached called unknown something that if I try to remove, the remove button is in white (same as my laptop icon) and I can't remove it.
Does anyone know what it could be or how I can remove it?
Thank you.

The device has an active connection to the Hub, so it cannot be deleted.
MAC Address 74:BF:C0, is registered to CANON INC. Do you have a canon printer?
You can rename a device, to make it clearer to you what it is.

Log in to the Hub advanced/wireless settings and change the wireless SSID or password. Swtich off the router for a couple of minutrs then switch back on.
You will need to reconnect your other wireless devices to pick up the new settings.

Hi,
Yes I do, just saw a comment on someone else's post and he gave a website that you can check what Mac address it belongs to.
I do have a Canon printer so it must be mine.
I managed to remove a laptop icon, so I'll check if that comes back, if it does would I need to change the hub's password?

Thanks,
Looks like it's my printer.
If I'll see a different device connected I'll try that.

Problem is mobile devices (tablets, smart phone and laptops) are in some cases setup to use 'randomised' MAC address.
This results in the device creating a PRIVATE MAC address; this is not registered to any manufacturer. So you would need to do some investigation work, changing the WiFi password would be the simple method as you'd have change each device to allow them to sign on to your WiFi, using >Home >My Network you can see them joining your network.

Hi,
I can see that a laptop device is connected to my Hub, it won't let me remove it.
when I put the the MAC address in the MAC Address Vendors site it came up as Intel Corporate so it could be anyone.
Do you think if I change the admin password as attached it should solve that issue?
And if so how would I connect my devices to the Hub after I do that?
Thanks

I can't see any point in changing the settings, everything seems to be working properly.

The attached screen shot is where you change the admin password for the hub.
Not sure why you want to remove a device that is attaching to the hub unless is unknown to you.
To help you identify the device, for windows PC you can check the MAC Address using a command prompt using
IPCONFIG /ALL
look for line "Physical Address"
Wireless LAN adapter WiFi:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9461
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 3C-9C-0F-9B-AB-0E
The 'Description' line will be wireless adapter the device is using, so maybe different to the example.
For the Wireless password you need to go to >Advanced settings >Wireless >Security password.
Changing the wireless password will disconnect all devices, so you will need to set the password on each again.
Reminder: you can not remove a device that has an active wifi connection to the hub.
