@hollihedge It looks like it will work ok, set it up as PPOE with your PN credentials, see the sticky above for more details.
Thanks for the reply. When you say the sticky above I assume the ones at the top of this forum.
@hollihedge you can find details in the Help pages here https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/

@hollihedge Sorry if this is obvious but when I did a quick search for TP-Link AX1800 on Amazon as well as the routers it also came up with a WiFi adapter to plug into your PC.... you need a router and not a WiFi adapter. The TP-Link routers should work on an FTTP connection via the ONT.
@Ian06 thanks for the reply. I did see in some of the forum posts that there are DECOs with the same name. I have purchased

@hollihedge yes that looks good... I have always found the tp-link stuff reliable
@hollihedge - Sorry just to be clear the router you identified will work on an FTTP (Full Fibre) connection where the router connects to the ONT with an ethernet cable.
It will not work on a FTTC connection unless you also have a separate modem plugged into the "phone" socket.
@Ian06 the whole building was recently wired for FTTP. I already have the small white box outside my door. So, hopefully I will be good to go
Typical lol, the plusnet hub has actually turned up. First requested on the 21st and then spoke to customer services yesterday to chase and they said it would be re ordered. No dispatch notification just turned up today. Back goes the TP link box.
@hollihedge according to this thread https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Order/Router-not-dispatched/m-p/1971947/highlight/false#M31565 there's an issue with router dispatching , so that maybe explains the lack of notifications.
