Smart! Power Adaptor

Hi All

I bought a Smart! Power Adaptor / smart plug, and when trying to set it up is says i need to access the 2.4 GHZ on my router.  I have a Plusnet Hub One router.  and i can't see anywhere about changing or accessing the 2.4GHZ capabilities to be able to link my smart plug.  When i contacted the manufacturer, they said to speak to by router supplier.  Any help / suggestions welcome. Thanks

Cristi

Re: Smart! Power Adaptor

Fix

The Hub One broadcasts on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz by default.

If you are having problems connecting the smartplug then you can try one of two things: -

1. Log into the Hub Manager at http://192.168.1.254 and navigate to Advanced > Wireless. Here there is a section for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Try temporarily disabling 5GHz, attempt to connect your smart plug and if it works, re-enable 5GHz and hope it stays connected.

2. From the same page, rename the 2.4GHz wireless network. This will give you two WiFi networks with different names, one for 5GHz and one for 2.4GHz. As a general rule, you should try and put most of your devices on the 5GHz network however, this will give you a 2.4GHz-only network to connect the smart plug to.
