Router

Hi,

I have the Plusnet Hub Two and I've noticed it doesn't have WiFi 6... my Mum uses an Eero router which has WiFi 6...

Is it possible I could get my own router that supports WiFi 6, or does Plusnet not even have that support / speed capability?

Thanks

Re: Router

@Notoriousxx You can use your own router with Plusnet services.

Re: Router

Thank you! Can you recommend a router that would give the best speeds and coverage?

Re: Router

In a word - no. Speedwise, it depends on your product - what are you on? Coverage totally depends on your local environment.

Re: Router

Fix

@Notoriousxx which Full fibre product do you have ?

I ask because Wifi 5 using the 5ghz band will provide up to around 400Mb in good conditions. So unless you have the FF 500  or FF 900 product then you're not going to get any advantage from Wifi 6. In addition both the router AND the wifi clients need to be Wifi 6 capable to take advantage of the higher speeds.

Re: Router

Ah I see, my mum has 400mbps speed (much cheaper with a different network, but that network isn't in my area)

Thanks both.
