Hi, is there any simple way to check whether my Plusnet 2 hub is 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz.
i want to install a doorbell camera but some manufacturers stipulate that their doorbells only accept on or the other.
any help will be appreciated

Its both! and both bands use the same Wifi name(SSID).
Some 2.4ghz only devices dont like the situation. A solution which often works is to temporarily disable the 5ghz band on the Hub2, connect the device and then you can reenable the 5ghz
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

The problem often persists when a split SSID exists on the 2.4 & 5GHz bands.
The reason disabling the 5GHz works is it forces your mobile onto the 2.4Ghz band and this brings the CCTV's management app on the same 2.4GHz band as the CCTV camera. Some of these IoT management apps are utter carp (ang).
The 2.4GHz only CCTV camera can not receive the 5GHz band, so can not be distracted by it !

Thanks for replying, am I correct then that it’s 5Ghz but can be reconfigured to 2.4Ghz if a 5Ghz doorbell won’t work.

192.168.1.109 is a strange IP for an ISP's Router .... might that be the IP of your iPhone ?
Whatever the iPhone shows as the Gateway IP will be the IP of the Router.

Thank you, although I’m a bit confused. I’ll let you know if or when I’ll buy a camera doorbell
