Router login

Sorry if this has been covered before, I’m a new member. Unable to login to 2704n router with 192.168.1.254 managed to do so with http://192.168.1.254/expert_user.html which opens router page but will not accept my password. Can you help and please keep it simple, advancing years make technical stuff hard to understand lol

Re: Router login

Hi @arjay,

Welcome to the community forums and thank you for getting in touch regarding this.

If you clear you cookies and cache and then close and re-open your web browser and then enter 192.168.1.254 into the address bar at the top to get to the home screen. After that if you enter Admin in the Username and then the router serial number which should start with CP you should be able to log in.

Re: Router login

Hi Ben, thanks for your reply I found the problem. I use Chrome and block all cookies, just my thing, but I have a list of exceptions, the cookie for the router is 192.168.1.254 but unfortuately it will not save in exceptions so I have to turn on all cookies to find it, then off and get rid of the rubbish. So I found if I use MS Edge it works fine, I’ve set Edge to delete all cookies and history on exit

Regards
