Re: Bt smart hub and disc on plusnet

That is under advanced settings.
The section marked

Broadband
Internet
Vpn
Dynamic Dns

When I enter the admin password that is the screen that pops up.

I think I'm getting a different screen on my hub to the screen Bob gets. There doesn't seem to be a connect option. Just save.
I do hope I'm wrong and this is an easy fix due to me doing something stupid.

Re: Bt smart hub and disc on plusnet

You're using a mobile by the looks of things. I wonder if you'd have a different experience if you tell your mobile to show the desktop version of the Hub Manager instead?

@Seanbont
When that page about port 4 shows up, what happens if you select “NO” rather than “YES” (which you’ve been previously selecting)?
That's RPM to you!!

Re: Bt smart hub and disc on plusnet

Fix
Hi All

It worked. I connected wirelessly using a laptop and as suggested the page you are presented with is different.
Updated the username/password but no save option still.
However by toggling the fttp status back and forth it gave me the same restart function.
This appeared to reset the fttp status to off but didn't wipe the plusnet username. I then reset fttp status and restarted again. It saved - didn't change any settings-and I attached the cable and clicked connect. Success.
Very grateful for all the advice and patience.
Thanks

@Seanbont  You got there in the end, my own philosophy is never try to configure anything on your home network using a mobile phone.😀
