Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

Thanks, I'm just getting the environment set up. Used to use RRDTool for time series stuff, but Influxdb appears to be leaps and bounds more flexible. Looking forward to seeing how it all fits together. Will give you a ping if I run into any problems!

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

In way of an update on the firmware front, the sync rate should make it's way into the next firmware all being well. The other parameters won't likely show until a subsequent build.

Thanks @bobpullen - does the Hub 2 auto-update its firmware still when it's running in bridge mode?

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

I believe it will need to be acting as the PPP client in order to download the latest firmware. I'll drop a note here when it's available.

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

@bobpullen a further question, does Hub Two drop off the CWMP/TR069 system if it been running as a modem for a period of time?

A feature request would the ability to setup Date and Time when in bridge mode, currently mine thinks it's 02 Dec after been up for 62 days

Thanks

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

Unless something's changed, I think records are purged from the platform after a period of inactivity. They should communicate still when reinstated, however the automatic PPP provisioning element won't work without intervention at our side.

Noted about the time, although can't guarantee anything.

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

Thats disappointing. Is there a way to manually flash the update? Changing to/from bridge mode isnt trivial in a lot of these more advanced setups. I'd have to physically change cabling to get a working connection to it

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

@jeffers afraid not.

When the time arises though, I can manually push the update to you, so assuming a bit of co-ordination between us, we can carry out a quick swap, push the update and then you can reinstate your desired set-up.

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

Thanks @bobpullen but I'd suspect that firmware fixes for the Hub2 are likely to be associated with router functionality that we're not using anyway. I'll not lose sleep unless it suddenly starts misbehaving Wink

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

@jeffers - FYI, your hub has been targeted with a firmware update that should hopefully see some of the xDSL values conveniently exposed in the GUI when the Hub Two is in Bridge Mode.

Expect your hub to reboot early hours of the morning over the coming days to apply the update.

Once you have it (version number is 0.08.00.08297), then I'd welcome any feedback you have if it's not too much trouble.

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

@bobpullen any chance my Bridge Mode Hub Two can be given this version?

I have it connected to a test PC on a permanent bases and can extract logs etc as of when requested by you.

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

@Dan_the_Van - the hub will need to be in router mode in order for me to push the update.

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

@bobpullen cause it does, silly me.

Not something I can do today but I can go back to a router next Monday if that works for you?

One thought it has been in bridge mode for many months so I expect it has dropped of CWMP would it enrolled again as part of the update or does it need enrolling first?

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

I think it's still on the CWMP platform as I checked before replying.

Just give me a nudge when it's back 'up and running'.

Re: Plusnet Hub 2 bridge mode - possible to get line stats?

@bobpullen

I have now reset the Hub Two back to a modem/router and it has upgraded to firmware version v0.06.00.12134-PN

So I am now ready to test the new version.
