Omada ER605 Router with a BT ECI modem - WAN goes down once a day around a similar time.

The internet (both Wifi and Ethernet) goes down once a day, and the only way to get it back is to restart everything.

What does the Omada use as a test that the WAN connection is present?

Does the Omada "lock up" or does it just no longer seem to have an Internet connection?

Also when the internet has "gone down" can you ping 

1) The device

2) Google's DNS 8.8.8.8 

If you can set it to respond to a WAN ping (I'm fairly sure you will be able to) setting up a ThinkBroadband monitor could be useful.
