New TP-Link Ax5400 connection issue on FTTP

Recent upgrade from FTTC to Full Fibre 900.
The Plusnet Hub2 has been working great, however I wanted to improve the WiFi speeds in the house so purchased a TP-Link Ax5400.

I'm using the same working cat 5e cable the Hub2 was using, into the TP-Link Wan port.
I've configured the new router for PPPoE and added my @plusdsl.net username and password.
I've factory reset the router several times and powered off/on both ONT and Router to no avail.
Put the cat 5e cable back into the Hub2 and it connects ok.
Am I missing anything?

@Gravlock

What is your VLan setting? Should be zero or blank.

Re: New TP-Link Ax5400 connection issue on FTTP

@Gravlock  It could be an incorrect VLAN ID as @bmc has said.  Having seen an example config for this router try this... Navigate to Advanced > Network > IPTV/VLAN and confirm it is disabled.

The Openreach ONT handles the WAN VLAN ID and removes it.

Fix

@Gravlock

In that case I suggest double checking the username ( the bit before the @plusdsl.net ) & password by logging in to the plusnet portal ( www.plus.net/login )

How daft do I feel now!
Haven't had to log on with the password for years, always relied on password managers.
Sure enough using the wrong password
Cheers for replies all
