I cannot connect to my VPN at home at the moment. This has never been a problem until last Wednesday 28th FEB. As far as I know nothing has changed and then when I take my laptop to the local library where they have TALKTALK it works.
I have turned on the Port Clamping on my router but it still wont connect. Any advice on what I can do now?
Thanks

I'm not entirely clear on just what your problem is - is it
- that when you are home you cannot connect to a remote VPN server
- that you cannot connect to a VPN server you are running at home

Hi sorry for the lack of clarity.
It is my work laptop. So only last week when I was working from home I went to connect to my work VPN and it would not do it while I was connected to my house Wi-fi provided by PlusNet. If I went onto 4G using the hotspot from my phone it would let me connect .
So looking at your numbers, I think it is number 1.
Thanks

Two reasons we've seen previously
1. Your public IP has changed recently due to a connection drop and the new one is being blocked by your work VPN. Some of the Plusnet IP ranges were originally US based but have now been registered in the UK. if your VPN provider is using out of date geo location they might think you're not in the UK
2. If the VPN is IPsec, then there can be a situation where an old VPN session hasn't terminated properly and the VPN server will not accept a new connection from the same IP.
Either way your work iT dept should examine the VPN logs to ascertain the problem
If they won't do that , then you MAY be able to get a new public IP allocated by switching your router off for at least 90 mins
