The PN router is sent with user login details preset. Would a factory reset remove those details?

No it isnt. The serial number of the router is registered against your account. The router is supplied configured with a standard setup account, when it first connects with those details , it retrieves the correct account details via the TR069 configuation protocols.
A subsequent factory reset , will return it to the setup configuration and it will repeat the process.

If a Hub two is factory reset it will be returned to the defaults including the broadband username which is setup@plusdsl.net.
The repeat process would only occur if the HUB is connected to a live DSL or WAN connection, without a live connection it should stay at setup@plusdsl.net
EDIT: it is worth noting if the Hub is taken to another plusnet users house when connecting it will use the account the Hub is paired to.

Ahh, I stand corrected. Next question would be: Does an _unused_ router sent back have that serial number and account relationship removed?

@fishtank In that case, IF they did use it, they would have contact PN and get it associated with their account.
