Thanks @bobpullen OK I will have to park this one until next week before I can get that sorted properly and leave in place for a few days.
I will update back on here when I have flipped over.
Thanks.

Unfortunately after getting new firmware nothing has changed and ive bought a bt hub 6 as suggested by others.
Devices being kicked off, low speeds, ip profile gone down from 40+ to 35 due to reboots.
Everyone in household complaining since using this router after my n56u's 2.4ghz died.
Just bought a opened - never used bt 6 for £11.38 on ebay auction.
Hub one is the worse router ever, can't believe plusnet dragging this dead horse along for this long.

@enrico94 @stevengreen93 @nickascii & @Mark60 - Update sent your way. You'll need to power your hubs off/back on to apply it.
@Faizan786 - Sorry to hear that. The hub should definitely not be rebooting on it's own accord. Would require that I collect some diagnostics but that would mean you leaving the hub in situ which it doesn't sound like you'd be willing to do 😕

Hi @bobpullen
I was updated earlier in the year and everything went well until 5 or 6 weeks ago when the problem started to happen again. Now some devices drop connection to the 5Ghz network and when trying to rejoin I get the incorrect password message. The devices that have the most trouble are my iPad Pro and Apple Home Pods, the problems started before the recent Apple system updates.
My current software version is 4.7.5.1.83.8.289 and it was last updated on 0/0421.

@wainwra & @ColinBee - the latest update has been pushed to both of your devices. You'll need to restart your hubs to apply it.
@ColinBee - Highly unusual that the issue would return, when there have been no changes applied to the router
I'm not 100% the latest update is going to help, knowing what the subtle differences are between it and the version you're already running. Do let me know though.

Hi, this has been a really frustrating problem for us so thanks for posting the workarounds for the time being.
We only went live with Plusnet June this year after moving house, had a few weeks fine but this has become increasingly frequent. Have just disabled the 5ghz and am online again at the moment. Could I get a firmware update please?

@carolineh1 your router has already been updated - are you sure you don't have another issue? It might be worth starting a new thread to describe your issues.
