Re: Hub 6

Welcome to the forum.

The instructions are here. https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Using-the-BT-Smarthub-6-on-a-Plusnet-Account/m-p/1587673#M85...

Most importantly don't plug the DSL cable in until the instructions tell you.

Re: Hub 6

Have looked at this, when I get to point 6 on advanced settings there is no edit username however I can click in the username and password boxes and change these to my Plusnet ones. There is no save button so as per instructions I then attach my dsl cable and click connect, in the top right it says connecting for a few seconds then disconnected it does this every time I click the connect button and also the hub 6 has turned solid orange colour.

Re: Hub 6

Take a look at my post 41 here.

Ensure that you have smart set up switched off.

especially the photos attached.

https://community.plus.net/t5/ADSL-Broadband/BT-Home-Hub-6-Smart-Hub-on-PlusNet/m-p/1415464#M312705

If BT Hub is Brand new (Unopened) then no reason to reset.

Plug DSL Cable in just before connecting after changing to your username@plusdsl.net

Re: Hub 6

Are you putting your username and password in correctly

Your username is that which you use to log into your Plusnet account followed by @plusdsl.net, for example joebloggs@plusdsl.net the password is also that which you use to log into your Plusnet account.

If this doesn't work can you possibly post a screen grab here of the page so we can see if the problem can be spotted.

Here's mine. It's a Business version so might be slightly different.hub.png:

Re: Hub 6

Hi thanks for all your help I have just tried it again after tea and it connected instantly! WiFi is brilliant compared to Plusnet own hub, works in all my rooms with no drop of speed!
