How to extend wifi signal

Presumably the solar Eufy cameras have to use a very low power link rather than ordinary wifi. An intermediate unit then interfaces with these proprietary camera links, and converts the data to standard router wifi, and I would therefore expect it would be best positioned roughly half way between router and cameras.

In my experience, you can improve wifi signal strengths by trying to make the signal path “line of sight” through doorways and windows. Ceilings and internal wooden floors are also better than solid walls, and such a straight line path is usually better than having to penetrate masonry walls or floors.

Unfortunately wireless data transmission is a black art with complex field strength patterns, so I would still suggest a try and modify approach as likely to be both better and quicker to achieve a good installation.

Be aware that the eufy WiFi Module, which was the only device I found when searching for "wifi extender" on the Amazon eufy store, is intended only for use with a eufy NVR - a video recorder. It accepts eufy WiFi cameras and routes them back to the NVR over a PoE - Power over Ethernet - cable.

That may not be what you were expecting... I couldn't find anything when searching the store for "wifi repeater". I got the same negative result on eufy.com. Sorry that's not much help, but it might save you from wasting the £39.99.

I dont understand why they dont make such a device. Its the obvious flaw in their system!

It looks to me as though the eufy S380 HomeBase at least uses WiFi to talk to the cameras and also to your router. It doesn't use wired Ethernet, so it's "just" a matter of finding a suitable position for the HomeBase mid-way between the two/three cameras and router where the signals are satisfactory. The top priority is reaching the cameras. The conventional WiFi connection to the router can be sorted afterwards by one means or another.
