Can't access hub manager

Hi - I'm a new Plusnet customer and I'm trying to load the hub manager page but it keeps timing out.

I've entered http://192.168.1.254/ or 192.168.1.254 into the address page and I get this message:

Plusnet Hub Two Manager

Secure Connection Required
Access to the Hub Manager now requires a secure HTTPS connection.
Switch to HTTPS
⚠ You might see a browser certificate warning - what do I do?

But when I click on 'switch to HTTPS' it doesn't load a new page and eventually says:

This site can’t be reached
The connection was reset.
etc

I'm using Google Chrome, the router seems to be working fine but I want to access parental controls.

I've tried over a few days but always with the same outcome.

thanks

Re: Can't access hub manager

This is to do with the firmware update and it is pants 😒

I think there is a link called Advanced and then proceed (or similar wording). It will try to warn you about an unsafe connection, but all will be good. You have to go through this every couple of weeks. A real ball ache.

Re: Can't access hub manager

Did you try HTTPS direct to the Hub :   https://192.168.1.254

You are still going to be faced with the browser warnings for a Self Signed Certificate,
I am afraid we are stuck with this very ugly logon process but it is safe to proceed for a Hub.

Re: Can't access hub manager

thanks both, no I still just get the error message 'This site can’t be reached' when I enter https://192.168.1.254 and click on 'switch to HTTPS'

I'll try via my wife's laptop and see if it does anything different.

thanks again

Re: Can't access hub manager

If that is a work laptop, make sure the VPN is OFF when trying to access the router.
