5 to 2.4 ghz

Hi,

I have a Chromecast , which as far as I know operates on 2.4ghz

I'm having trouble connecting the Chromecast,

When I look it says it's in 5ghz, how do i move it permanently to 2.4?

@howardl

Your easiest solution is to separate the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. This gives the hub two separate SSIDs, one with the original SSID and the second with the same SSID except it will have -5 added to the name. Both use the same password, see  https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/2-4ghz-and-or-5ghz-best-practice/m-p/1351966#M840. Use whichever works best for your other devices.

Note that the second generation Chromcasts work on both bands bur probably doesn't like the two synchronised.
