Plusnet switched me without my consent!

I had an email on 8th July saying I had 30 days to object to switch to EE or they would start and on 20th July have now had EE message saying they have sent router and have my direct debit details. Neither company are answering calls made and have messaged both asking why my personal details given without my consent as they explicitly stated I had 30 days and if they heard in this time it would not happen but they started switch much earlier. I do not consent to being with EE or plusnet giving my details to them. I have emailed both as they are not answering phones but now need to contact bank and ICO is there anything else I can do? Really worried plusnet just gave EE my address and bank without consent.

Extracted from the contract (https://www.plus.net/help/legal/terms/), which you have accepted:

19. Other things we need to tell you

19.1. Dealing with this agreement: You accept that our agreement is just between you and us, no one else can enforce it and you can transfer it only with our consent. However, we may take instructions from a person acting with your permission. We can transfer our agreement to another company provided this does not adversely affect your rights under the agreement.

My highlight. You have not been transferred yet. Your other choices are:

1. Give up your landline phone (you have the option of transferring the number to a third party VoIP provider for 30 days after it is disconnected) and move to a Plusnet 'broadband' only (SoGEA or Full Fibre) service on a new contract.

2. Cancelling your Plusnet service and pay any due Early Termination Charges.

The old PSTN landline phone service is being shut down and Plusnet are not offering a replacement phone service, hence the transfer of your current contract to EE who have a Digital Phone alternative that works over the Internet.

Email explicity states this would only occur if I did not respond in 30 days dated 8th July so clear written email from Plusnet having messages from EE 12 days after saying they have my bank details and are sending router is clearly outside the written notification of 30 days and Plusnet need to comply with their own agreement send 8th July.

You have not been transferred yet and won’t be within the 30 day window. What is happening is that everything is being prepared for the move.

If you object within this timeframe then the EE account will be cancelled and you will be asked to return the router.

I do not know how EE customer services work but Plusnet do not respond to emails.

I understand that you are upset for what you see as abuse of your personal details, but apart from this, are you fully aware of what is happening with respect to the closing down of the old PSTN phone service and the implications of you not accepting the move to EE? 

If you need advice on the wider implication then do please ask.

You still have time to do a one touch switch (OTS) to another provider if your plusnet contract would not have ended by now naturally. So long as you do that before the EE activation date the OTS entirely over-rides any switch to EE,
