Phone line active, ADSL synced, when does username/password get enabled?

New phone & broadband service ordered, phone line activated this morning and working, router is synced with the DSLAM, but getting PPPoA errors when the router attempts to bring up the PPP connection. Is there a delay of some sort before the account is active?
