I will be using plusnet as my broadband provider, new build house, already on the database etc, however I want to make sure my broadband is active near enough for me moving in, I have a completion date which is for 2 weeks time however I know I’ll need the router sending out to me… how would I order broadband but get the router sent to my current address where I live with parents (I’m a first time buyer) just so that when I go I can plug it in and hopefully be active?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

I assume this is a new account.
The PN router fits through a standard letter box. It is sent 2 03 3 days before the account goes live. When it's dispatched you get a tracking number for Royal Mail.
If you've not yet ordered then ask for the router to be delivered tp your parents. If already ordered then phone and ask for a change to the delivery address.

Thank you for the response, yes this will be a new account, and it will be done online as I can get a rewards card too which is a bonus, if I order online in the next couple days should I just then ring up and speak to someone or should I try and order it all on the phone ?

Getting the router will (probably) be the least of the issues.
Have Openreach fitted an ONT as part of the build?
If not, then the wait for that to be done will allow enough time for the router to reach you.

That's one thing done then.
If you had another router (with an Ethernet WAN connection) available, it may be possible to use that pending the arrival of the Plusnet device.
Fingers crossed!

Luckily one has already been fitted
but is it powered up ?
I dont know about new builds , but on normal FTTP orders where an ONT is already shown as present, Openreach run a test to check its working. If the test passes then the order progresses as a remote activation, which takes 2 or 3 days. If it fails, then the order requires an engineer visit which can often take a while.
I would hope, that on new builds, Openreach have already tested the circuit when they installed the ONT but I wouldn't put money on it...

That's really good news. It should then be possible for any order to be placed as a 'remote activation' i.e no Openreach engineer required.

They shoudl certainly be able to redirect the router delivery.
As for the reward card, you would need to check with sales
