Hello, before ordering FTTC broadband for the house I am moving to, I checked with another provider and got as far as nearly ordering. I was presented with two 'stopped' Access Line ID numbers starting FBNDXXXXXXX and asking me to choose between them.
I accessed both of these numbers on the Openreach checker and found that the higher number had a last obsersved date in 2025, and the lower number was last observed in 2020. Both showed VDSL speeds of 80, SOGEA available, but the older line has a 'yes' for 'left in jumper', the newer one is blank in this option.
The house has one modern looking Openreach socket. On the first floor is another socket which may be an old extension.
When i applied to Plusnet I was not asked about this. Is it something I ought to specify or check, to ensure the modern Openreach socket is used. No engineer is due to visit.
Thanks
