New Fibre Install Delayed Again

Hi for Plusnet Team

Following an initial visit the Openreach engineer advised that we would need a revisit due to the pole being across the road. We have now waited almost one month and on the eve of the installation have just received a message rescheduled for a further 2 weeks!! We have been incredibly patient despite needing this urgently for work as well as home. Please let me know what is going on. Please provide a full explanation and the reason code for this delay. Details below:

Re: New Fibre Install Delayed Again

If the pole is 'across the road' - how wide? - then maybe they need traffic control for safety reasons, but surely that could have been arranged to coincide with tomorrows planned installation - although knowing how both Openreach and councils work, I'm guessing that was requested too late, if at all.

Re: New Fibre Install Delayed Again

Thanks John. Yes when the engineer first visited on 7 Sept he identified that issue. The road will need temporary traffic lights but the relevant consents etc was all supposed to be sorted with DfI Roads (Northern Ireland’s roads authority). Case escalated by a very helpful Plusnet rep after I called today. Just frustrating as they delayed just before without giving me or Plusnet any reason.
