Re: Migration Order Cancelled by System?

When an order for a working line takeover is placed, the supplier systems generate two orders linked together; one to stop the existing service with the current provider and one to start a service with the new provider.

Very occasionally, the system doesn’t generate the stop order, which means the entire working line takeover fails.

It’s definitely not something that could’ve been foreseen and appreciate it’s a terrible experience when this happens. Frustrating too, make no mistake about it.

I can see we’ve replaced the working line takeover, which looks to have generated the stop order this time and we should be able to confirm the activation date shortly.

I hope this helps, just thought I’d post with some clarity and apologies for the inconvenience! Sad

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

@Gandalf thanks for the clarification. Seems my theory was not correct in this instance.
