Not one to usually post on forums, but my recent aborted FTTP upgrade is really not going well and am pretty annoyed with Plusnet, OpenReach and MJ Quinn.
On the arranged day of the initial aborted install an MJ Quinn engineer arrived (he had not texted, called before on that day). He was really not very friendly and basically advised he could not install due to overhanging tree branches and line of sight issues. He was at the premises for less than 5 minutes, felt to me like he had no intention of carrying out the work.
It was left that he would need to arrange for tree cutting and I should leave it with him to sort.
Next day, I received an email/text from Plusnet/OpenReach advising that they were sorry the appointment had been missed!!!??? And that it would need to be booked in again.
I was very confused so I called PlusNet support, who were surprised to hear my story and would follow up with the 3rd parties.
They contacted OpenReach/MJ Quinn who said there were no tree cutting or line of sight issues and that the install will be booked in again.
I am on hold to PlusNet at the moment as I have very little faith that when whoever comes to do the install they will actually do the work. And I need to understand why the stories all don't add up.
