This morning I’ve had an email saying the activation date is the 18th August. No idea what’s going on, is anyone able to advise, thank you.

@Cutterschoice This sounds a little strange, I would suggest ringing Customer Support and see if they can give you an explanation.

@Cutterschoice are you moving into a new property ?
It sounds like there was a cease on the existing connection which prevented the original order being placed by Plusnet. This completed on the 1st Aug and an order was able to be placed. This is now subject to typical lead times for Openreach engineering

The new order was after sorting things out with PN over the phone, so we’re aware. I’ll call them as soon as they open, really can’t deal with another 2 weeks.

had some issues with an EE transfer, where I had to cancel EE,
that's probably where the cease came from ...

“really can’t deal with another 2 weeks.”
That is the typical BT Openreach lead time for service provision. Is this like for like (SoGEA in place of FTTC) or a new install (FTTP)?
If SoGEA then try requesting an expedited order given that you are in this situation out of (not detailed) issues associated with an EE migration. These cost an ISP ££ so they are reluctant to do them, but you can ask.
If it’s FTTP then it’s when BTOR engineers are available.
If teaming with Plusnet means a new user account, you’ll either need a new Plusnet router or get the serial number of the existing one switched between accounts. Do you have email on the existing account and if yes has it already been migrated to Greenby?
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Customer service used to be really good, I explained a few times I didn’t understand why, also zero contact other than an email this morning saying another order had be placed and a change in activation dates to the 18th. Then told I was emailed about the issues, which I wasn’t.
It’s fine if someone could / would have just explained it to me so I understood the issue, I’m almost regretting trying to come back, how do I know everything will be up and running on the 18th, just tried to sell me some 5g package. Ended up hanging up which I never normally do just can’t deal with it.
